Puneet Sharma is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Emory University School of Medicine and a neonatologist at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Prior to moving to Atlanta, he completed pediatrics residency at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at Harvard Medical School, where he also served as Chief Fellow.

His research, which has been supported by both the National Institutes of Health and American Academy of Pediatrics, focuses on the use of artificial intelligence to improve diagnostic and treatment strategies for critically ill newborns. In both clinical care and research, he remains committed to the belief that innovation, when paired with compassion, can create a brighter future for the most vulnerable patients.
